Read and Publish: Taylor and Francis

This guide covers how academics can access journals the library subscribes to, and we support our researchers to publish gold open access papers in these journals.

BCU has renewed our subscription to the Taylor and Francis (T&F) Jisc Transformative agreement for 2024-2025. This Read and Publish Deal covers the access to read the contents of T&F journals and the access to publish your article Gold OA at no cost to you with 2,300 T&F Open Select (hybrid OA) journals. Fully OA journals are not covered. Check the deal's eligibility requirements and submission procedures below.

Criteria and restrictions

Author eligibility

The corresponding author must be affiliated with Birmingham City University.

 

Article eligibility

Original research papers; not editorials, announcements or book reviews.

 

Journal eligibility

2,300 T&F Open Select (hybrid OA) journals: Publish your research in Open Select journals (Taylor & Francis Online). Fully OA journals are not covered.

 

How to access

You will need to identify yourself as affiliated with BCU, for instance by submitting your article with your @bcu.ac.uk email address. When your article is accepted, it will appear on the library’s funding dashboard for approval. Look out for emails from T&F keeping you up to date with the process. How to publish with Taylor and Francis

Use Taylor & Francis Journal Suggester (taylorandfrancis.com) and copy/paste your abstracts and get a list of journal suggestions to publish in.
