ID Card number highlighted                                                            

 

Your University ID card acts as your library card and your library account is automatically created when you enrol.

This is also the card that you need to use to access and use resources at our libraries. 

You are required to keep this card on you at all times when on campus. 

Your library PIN

This is a 4 digit number that you will need in order to be able to:

  • Use the self-service machines to issue and renew books
  • To borrow laptops from the lapsafes.

Your BCU email address and password

This will be sent to you when you enrol and usually consists of your firstname.surname@mail.bcu.ac.uk

You can access your email via the BCU iCity Page: iCity Page

You will need this to access our electronic resources and to log on to PC's in the library.

You can access WiFi at all BCU campuses via Eduroam. 

To connect your device to University WiFi, just follow these simple instructions:
1. Select Eduroam from the list of available wireless networks detected by your device.
2. Enter your username (your student email address), followed by your BCU password.
Please note: if you are using an Android device, you may also need to select a CA Certificate. If you are asked to do so, please select 'Do not validate'.

This is your single point of access for most of your library exploration, from here you can access your library account to view your loans, place reservations, reset your PIN, book study space as well as search for and access 1000's of resources from books, journals, databases and more.

This can be accessed via the library website or from anywhere you see the 'Chat to us' link.

We work closely with the disability support team to make sure you get the most out of Library and Learning Resources.

We aim to offer a fair, appropriate and impartial level of service for users with any kind of disability.

Library Rules & Regulations

You may book a study space in advance at Curzon and Mary Seacole Libraries via https://www.bcu.ac.uk/library/services-and-support/book-a-space

Food is not allowed in the library, drinks are allowed in sealed containers. This is to ensure that a high standard of hygiene can be maintained by cleaning staff throughout the day.
