Teacher Training: Locating books in the library

This guide contains all the resources and services available from the library to support Teacher Training courses within the College of Education and Social Work.

Books and other items in the library are arranged by topic using the Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDCS).

Books are arranged in number order reflecting the subject, for example, books on reflective teaching can be found at 371.144. You will find the shelf mark on the catalogue entry and on the spine of each book.

There is a separate Teaching Practice Collection in the Mary Seacole, containing books and resources to support you on placement. Primary Education, and Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum subjects are covered.
