How to create resource lists in Moodle
The Library's new resource lists management system integrates the Library's catalogue and inventory system into Moodle, making it easier than ever to find items and to request stock and digitised materials.
Example: ABC1234 Foundations of Library Science S1 24/25.
This format will ensure that your Resource List is fully integrated with library systems and SITS, in order to recognise pre-existing lists, list owners, and student numbers (to ensure we purchase enough resources).
In this video, Collection Management and Engagement Librarian Mercedes Malloy demonstrates how to add and modify resource lists to your Moodle course:
- Accessing the new resource lists website from the library homepage
- Adding lists to a Moodle course
- Editing lists directly in Moodle
- Adding new items
- Adding items not in stock
- Requesting digitised book chapters
- Adding journal articles
- Adding articles from their DOIs
For the best quality playback, we recommend to watch the video in Stream.
