You Said, We Did: Resources
A list of service improvements Library and Learning Resources have made in response to feedback. These are organised into categories including spaces, environment and IT issues.
Physical resources
You said: You wished the library had more fiction titles.
We did: We've been adding more fiction titles to our collections and expanding the book exchange schemes.
You said: You wanted a localised collection of fashion magazines to display in the School of Fashion and Textiles.
We did: We have set up a trial display of magazines within the school including: The Lissome, TOILETPAPER, Buffalo Zine, POP, Boy Brother Friend and Hunger Magazine.
You said: ‘Introducing Phonetics and Phonology’ was a required weekly reading which you were unable to access regularly because it is not available as an ebook, and the physical copies are usually in use at Mary Seacole Library.
It is possible to request this via the reservations system if all copies are on loan. This book is also available as an ebook via the library catalogue.
Electronic resources
You said: You wanted to be able to save your searches when looking for library resources online
The new BCU Library Search service allows you to save your searches and much more.
You said: You were grateful that the Inter-Library Loans team were able to supply books for your assignment quickly.
Thank you for letting us know about your good experience with the ILL team – best of luck with your research!
