Guidance for Researchers: Skills and Training

This guide aims to support academics in many aspects of their research with workshops, information about publishing trends, and any useful tools and resources.

Our workshop programme offers tailored sessions for members of the BCU research community.

Library & Learning Resources (LLR), professional departments and academic faculties staff co-designed inspiring workshops that will enhance your research journey.

The subjects of the in-person, online or hybrid sessions range from searching-for and managing your literature to tips on how to get your research published, etc. 

Along with the opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills within research, these workshops are an excellent place to network with colleagues from across the various faculties and departments within BCU. 

We look forward to seeing you at one (or all) of our sessions in the future.

Currently, the Skills and Training section is under review. The programmes for 2024/25 will be publicised in the autumn term.
