The ability to assess the impact of your research publications is increasingly important with applications in securing funding and career development. There are various things you can do to raise your profile as a researcher and ensure that your outputs are attributed correctly to you.

How to raise your profile

It's essential to create and maintain a consistent digital identity.

 

  • Check your Scopus Author Profile
  • ​​Create a Google Scholar profile - You will need a Google account.  Once you have this, go to Google Scholar and select the My Profile link.   
  • Register for an ORCID ID - digital identifier that as a researcher you own and control. It distinguishes you from every other researcher and ou can use your iD to share your information with other systems, ensuring you get recognition for all your contributions.
