Data Analysis

When doing your data analysis, it’s worth considering what you want to identify as significant results, themes, patterns and focus from the data you have collected. There are several useful tools available to analyse your data.

SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is a data management and analysis product. Its features include modules for statistical data analysis, including descriptive statistics such as plots, frequencies, charts, and lists.

Spreadsheets can be an alternative to using  packages such as SPSS. There are many spreadsheet software programs available, essentially with the same functions at their core. In choosing a program look to see how flexible it is and the functions / outputs it offers. Not all will suit your needs.

Nvivo is qualitative analysis software which can be used to assist in the analysis of qualitative data such as interviews, focus groups and questionnaires.
