Sources of Support

Library and Learning Resources support research students and post-doctoral researchers with a range of services. The Liaison Librarians have expert knowledge of the information landscape, resources and search techniques. It is worth making contact to introduce yourself, alert them to your research interests and discuss your information needs.

Subject guides are available in the library and on the Library iCity pages recommending the best information for you or you can contact your Liaison Librarian

You can contact us when you have a subject or library-related question, either online via our Library Help, by phone, by email, or just by coming to our Help desks.

Develop your research skills

Liaison librarians offer one-to-one tutorials, workshops and drop-in sessions on literature search planning and techniques.

The Centre for Academic Success and the Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences Personal Development Department (at City South Campus) offer tutorials and workshops on dissertation writing, critical analysis, English language and referencing support.
