Getting started with the Library: Where can I get help?

Everything you need to know about using the Library

Help via iCity

Start from the red library tile in iCity [BCU login required].

Once expanded this has links to your library account, our iCity pages, opening hours, and your online Reading List. You can also search Summon directly from the box.

We send regular reminders to your university email account - this includes important information about your loans. You should check this account regularly.

Visit the library Help Desk

At our Help Desks you will find our friendly staff - we're always ready to help you with whatever query you have.

We can answer questions about:

  • Your library account
  • Paying fines
  • Finding books, journals and other information
  • Reservations and inter-library loans
  • Basic referencing
  • Accessing electronic resources

Our opening hours, contact details and directions can be found here.

Want to chat to us online?
